arvold.casting is seeking actors based in Virginia for Recovery Chain, a short film! Those with and without experience are encouraged to submit! Please follow the instructions below to be considered.

Shoot Location: Norfolk, VA and surrounding area

Compensation: $200/day for leads, $125/day for supporting, (+10% agency fee if applicable)
Travel/Lodging: Provided if applicable

SEEKING:

[TRU WATKINS] Male, African American, 12yo (please submit 10-14yo). Mama’s boy; a smart kid that struggles with staying out of trouble. His singular focus is getting back home, but more than that, he wants to gain his father’s love. LEAD

[LEWIS BRICKHOUSE] Male, African American, 30yo. Tru’s father; a blue-collar worker with a troubled past that he often tries to forget. Brickhouse yearns to give Tru a home and tries to gain his forgiveness at every chance he gets. LEAD

[YVONNE WATKINS] Female, African American, 29yo. Tru’s mother; she’s working hard to make a better life for her and her son. She’s proud of the boy she’s raising but prepared to dish out some tough love. SUPPORTING

[EBONY] Female, African American, 25yo. Brickhouse’s wife and mother to Tru’s half-sister; a caring woman who opens her home to Tru. SUPPORTING

Logline: After being evicted by his mother, a rebellious pre-teen must adapt to life with his distant father and his father’s new family.
