Actor’s Access 101: demystifying the online submission process
March 12, 2016 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
The film and television industry is growing at an increasingly rapid rate in the MidAtlantic and Southeast regions, and we here at arvold.casting rely on Breakdown Services and Actors Access to cast professional projects more and more every day.
Please join us for a very special inside look at the on-line casting process on Saturday, March 12, 2016.
Thom Goff, NY East Coast Director of Breakdown Services and Actors Access, (the professional online casting resource) will demonstrate the online submission and casting process using Actor’s Access from start to finish – from an actor’s point of view as well as a casting director’s. He will be joined by Erica Arvold, CSA, Anne Chapman, CSA, and casting associate Michael Duni to discuss the nuances of how their offices use Actors’ Access, their casting process, and how actors can best represent themselves online when submitting for a project.
Attendees will be able to view and experience exactly how actor submissions are received by casting directors. Mr. Goff and the panel will share tips and inside information on how to best present your craft using online tools, and answer questions from the audience.
Participants will:
- Learn the ins and outs of submitting for projects online
- See exactly (literally!) what a casting director sees on Actors’ Access
- Learn how to tailor headshots and additional marketing materials for success in the Actors’ Access format
- Learn the best ways to communicate with a casting office
- Have the opportunity to ask questions of professional casting directors
Tickets are $50.
This seminar is a rare chance to “look behind the casting curtain” and not only receive practical advice from THE expert on how to fully utilize Actors’ Access online services, but also an opportunity to learn how and why casting directors respond to specific submission materials. Come discover how an actor can ensure they have a successful headshot, resume and other materials, resulting in a strong presence when submitting for projects.
All experience levels are welcome – managers, agents, parents and anyone with an interest in the business of acting are encouraged to attend!
